Technical Quality & Compliance Program Manager


Overview:

This position will serve as the single point of assurance for both aggregate product quality and environmental compliance.


Responsibilities:

  • Own all QC and environmental compliance programs end-to-end
  • Provide data and technical clarity to Sales, Production, Engineering, and regulators
  • Ensure zero missed inspections, permits, or regulatory deadlines
  • Establish durable systems that replace fragile, memory-dependent workflows
  • Maintain the company’s credibility with DOT, municipal regulators, major civil contractors, and strategic customers
  • Direct lab priorities and sampling urgency daily
  • Personally pulls samples from the field as needed
  • Personally runs samples in the lab

Quality Control:

  • Set and enforce daily sampling priorities across sites; hold final authority
  • Oversee all QC testing, verification, documentation, and data integrity
  • Analyze test results, identify patterns, and escalate consecutive failures immediately
  • Maintain and continuously improve QC dashboards, SOPs, schedules, and training tools
  • Provide rapid, accurate technical information to sales team & customers during customer or DOT escalations
  • Oversee lab technicians and ensure testing discipline, accuracy, and communication standards

Training:

  • Deliver light, practical training
  • Participate in morning meetings, audits, and reviews as a key influencer
  • Normalize discipline, accuracy, and system reliability across teams
  • Lead annual company wide environmental and compliance training

Safety:

  • Build upon and reinforce a culture of safety
  • Model outstanding safety behavior across all sites
  • Ensure safe, orderly, compliant lab and office environments
  • Provide visitor and inspector safety briefings

Requirements:

  • 3+ years in a lab, compliance, or quality control role in an industrial or construction environment
  • Strong math, reading, and written communication skills (Spanish fluency a plus).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Drive.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must pass a pre-employment functional test, physical, and drug screen.
  • Punctual and reliable with excellent attendance.
